CM approves increment in daily allowance for Home Guards

IN a significant move to acknowledge the tireless efforts of frontline workers, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday approved an increase in the daily duty call-up allowance for Home Guards across the state.
The new allowance, which will be raised from Rs 612 to Rs 623, will take effect retroactively from January 1, 2025. This step underscores the state government's commitment to enhancing the working conditions and welfare of Home Guards, who play a crucial role in maintaining law and order, managing emergencies, and assisting in disaster relief operations.
