Anil Agarwal Foundation’s Nand Ghar crosses 8,000-mark across 15 states

NAND GHAR, the flagship initiative of the Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF), has transformed 8000 Anganwadis into modern centers for holistic development for women and children.

With a pres-ence in 15 states, this mile-stone reflects Vedanta's commitment to rural devel-opment, impacting over 3 lakh children and 2 lakh women through early childhood education, nutri-tion, healthcare, and skill development.

These modernized Anganwadis, known as Nand Ghars, engage children aged 3-6 years. Each center offers child-friendly furniture, safe drinking water, hygiene, sanitation, and electricity, ensuring a safe environment for learning and growth.

Beyond education, Nand Ghars address mal-nutrition by providing for-tified meals to children and nutritional support to preg-nant and lactating mothers. Integrated healthcare serv-ices, such as immunization drives and routine check-ups, further enhance com-munity well-being. Women are also empowered through skill-building pro-grams in areas like handi-craft, food processing, and retail, enabling them to earn.
