Retail prices rise at faster pace in Nov
The Philippine Star
|December 24, 2025
Retail prices in Metro Manila picked up at a faster rate in November from the previous month due mainly to food price upticks.
Preliminary data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) showed that the growth of the General Retail Price Index (GRPI) in the National Capital Region accelerated to 1.4 percent in November from 1.3 percent in October.
In November last year, the GRPI growth was also at 1.4 percent.
Used to track retail trade and to forecast business in the sector, the GRPI measures changes in prices at which retailers sell their goods to consumers relative to a base year.
