Civil society groups yesterday urged the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to resume preparations for the first parliamentary election in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, saying the suspension has caused confusion among people in the BARMM.

In a letter to the Comelec, the United Imams of the Philippines Foundation Inc. (UIPFI) asked the poll body to continue preparing and proceed with the election as scheduled on Oct. 13.
