DigiPlus eyes South Africa soft launch by early 2027

Digital entertainment company DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is targeting to soft-launch its operations in South Africa by early 2027.
DigiPlus plans to expand in South Africa as part of the company’s international growth strategy.
DigiPlus president Andy Tsui said the company is optimistic of securing its license for South Africa in eight months.
He said the company would then leverage on its experience in building its presence in Brazil to jump-start its operations in South Africa.
“We probably will adopt a similar approach. First we get the license and then we'll build a local team there and we also have to conduct market research to better understand what would be the product offering,” Tsui said.
“I would say we will also do a soft launch sometime in early 2027 in South Africa,” he said.
