Christian Bautista Makes Sony Music Debut With International Duet

Reinforcing his title as "Asia's Romantic Balladeer," Christian Bautista has just dropped a duet single with Indonesian singer-songwriter Raisa.

They reimagined the South Border track, Rainbow, into a soulful pop-R&B ballad showcasing Christian's smooth baritone and Raisa's mellow vocals.

The collaboration song, which involved both Filipino and Indonesian producers and arrangers, was released under Christian's new record label Sony Music Entertainment during his Exclusive Media Preview, attended by Sony Music Philippines executives, his wife and NYMA (Now You Must Aspire) agency chief operating officer Kat, fans and sponsors.

Raisa is the perfect choice for the ditty because she has a "beautiful voice," described Christian. "She's a beautiful person inside and out. We became good friends and she loves Rainbow even before meeting me. So it just happened and naging destiny lang," he told the press in an interview.

"I hope that this generation or even our generation will be reminded about this beautiful song, not only in the Philippines but also in Southeast Asia," he added.

The collaboration started when Christian and Raisa met at a concert in Japan.
