After snapping out of a rut in the EASL, the Meralco Bolts broke off a slump in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup with a 120-87 rout of the Terrafirma Dyip in the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo last night.

The Bolts warded off the early scare put up by the Dyip, zooming to a 24-16 lead at the end of the first quarter then imposing their will for the breakaway victory that enhanced their quarterfinals bid although staying at seventh spot with a 4-4 win-loss record.

Barangay Ginebra kept in step with Meralco in blasting Blackwater, 103-85, later in the night.
