Cases of African swine fever (ASF) have decreased by 38 percent after the number of barangays with reported outbreaks went down to 225 from 365 previously, according to the Bureau of Animal Industry.
BAI records showed that as of Dec. 27, 2024, only 11 regions, 21 provinces and 67 municipalities reported ASF cases.
Most of the cases were recorded in North Cotabato with 86 followed by Camarines Sur with 52 and Abra with 29.
