The Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly witnessed uproarious scenes on Tuesday after Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather rejected an adjournment motion brought by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Pawan Kumar Gupta, seeking discussion on the impact of recent natural calamities.
As soon as proceedings began this morning, Pawan Kumar Gupta, MLA Udhampur West, urged the Chair to suspend business and allow a debate on the recent calamities and other disasters in the region.
