Property of notorious peddlers attached in Srinagar

In a significant move to combat the drug menace and dismantle the infrastructure supporting narcotics trafficking, Srinagar Police on Tuesday said to have attached a residential property worth approximately Rs 25 lakhs under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
“The propertycomprising single -storeyed residential house belonging to a notorious drug peddler peddler namely Ashiq Ahmed Sheikh S/o Abdul Rashid Sheikh R/o Zassu Pulwama A/P Pamposh colony Palpora area, who is involved in case FIR No.04 /2024 u/s 8/20 of NDPS Act of Police Station Safakadal, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency.
