Police attach property of notorious peddler in Sgr

SRINAGAR: In a significant move to combat the drug menace and dismantle the infrastructure supporting narcotics trafficking, Police in Srinagar on Friday said to have attached a residential property worth approximately Rs 1 crore under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

“The property comprisingsingle-story residential house alongwith 17 marlas of landlocated in Lawaypora, Srinagar, belongs to a notorious drug peddler namely Zubair Ahmad Sheikh son of Late Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh, who is involved in case FIR No. 39/2025 under section 8/21, 29 of NDPS Act of Police Station Shaltang Srinagar,” a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency.
