LEAD & IIM-Jammu organize food safety training prog for SHGs

LEAD - LJK Economic Growth and Development Dialogue, in collab oration with IIM Jammu's DST ITBI (IIMJ-FEISD), organized a one-day Food Safety Train ing and Certification (FoSTaC) workshop at the Spiritual Growth Centre, Katra, aimed at Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and local food vendors.Around 50 participants attended the ses sion, which focused on hygiene, kitchen safety, and food qual ity standards to improve public health and enhance the credibility of grassroots food enterprises.

K.K. Sharma, Board Member of LEAD and former Director of Agri culture, Jammu, addressed issues of food adulteration and stressed the importance of maintaining consistent qual ity to build trusted brands. He reaffirmed LEAD’s support for SHGs in developing sus tainable, income-generating livelihoods.
