Existing MSMEs in J&K at verge of closure: FOIJ

Raising concerns over the declining viability of existing industrial units in Jammu & Kashmir, the Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ) has urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and Deputy CM Surinder Kumar Choudhary to extend fiscal incentives and restore price preference policies to protect MSMEs in the region.
Chairman Lalit Mahajan highlighted that over 4-5 lakh locals are directly or indirectly employed in industrial units, many of which now face closure due to lack of parity with newly established units under the 2021 Central Sector Scheme.
