Theekshana calls SL's WC scheduling 'unfair'

SRI LANKA captain Wanindu Hasaranga and spinner Maheesh Theekshana have criticized their team's schedule in the T20 World Cup saying it is 'unfair' for them to travel for every match in the group stage and it has forced the former champions to cancel one practice due to the long travel time.

"So unfair for us, we have to leave every day (after the match) because we are playing (at) four different venues," Theekshana said.
"The flight we took from Florida, from Miami, we had to wait like eight hours in the airport to get the flight. We were supposed to leave at 8 pm but we got the flight at 5 am. It's really unfair for us, but it doesn't matter when you play," he added after their loss in the Group D opener to South Africa in New York City.
From New York, Sri Lanka are scheduled to travel to Dallas, Texas for their fixture against sun continental rivals, Bangladesh on June 8.
