Rlys makes changes, cuts advance ticket booking time from 120 days to 60

AHEAD of festivals like Diwali and Chhath, the Railways has reduced the advance reservation period (ARP) of seats from 120 days to 60 days starting November 1. All bookings done up to October 31 under the ARP of 120 days will remain intact, said a railway ministry circular issued on Thursday.
The circular was sent to all principal chief commercial managers across the railway zones, indicating that the change is meant to streamline the booking process during peak travel seasons.
