Punjab village bans marriage with outsiders, violators to face music

A village in Punjab's Mansa district has passed a resolution prohibiting the villagers from marrying outsiders (migrants) and has banned intra-village marriages.
Locals who violate the law will face expulsion from the village.
Though the panchayat of Jawaharke village had passed the resolution to stop villagers from solemnising marriage with outsiders (migrants) and between people of the same village on November 24, it was made public on November 30.
