PM Lauds RSS' Proud, Glorious Journey, Calls It World's Biggest NGO

ON Friday, He addressed the nation from the Red Fort on the 79th Independence Day, saying that the country is built not only by governments or those in power but also by millions of citizens, including saints, seers, scientists, teachers, farmers, soldiers, and labourers.

Modi noted that the RSS, founded by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar on Vijayadashmi in 1925, has spent a century serving the nation. He highlighted the work of RSS swayamsevaks, who dedicate themselves to vyaktinirman (character development) and rashtranirman (nation building) for the welfare of the country. He remembered all swayamsevaks who contributed to 100 years of national service.
