India Inc gives thumbs up to growth focus

THE captains of India Inc have given a big thumbs up to the Union Budget of FY2024-25 as they believe it would play an important role in keeping the nation's growth rate intact and foster employment.

This is the first Budget of NDA's third term and seventh Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

"The schemes to get more people into the formal sector will go a long way in tapping into the potential of India's young workforce, and the government's continued commitment to infrastructure development is a big boost for economic growth and opportunities. This helps build on the momentum created in the previous two terms," said Sudarshan Venu, MD, TVS Motor Company.
