Asian Paints net profit falls 25% to ₹1,170 crore for June quarter of FY25

HIT by the severe heat wave condition and the general election induced poor market sentiment, the paints major Asian Paints saw a steep 25% year-on-year decline in consolidated net at ₹1,170 crore for the June quarter of the current financial year.

Brokerages were expecting net profit to fall by only 7.6% to 1,432 crore, and revenue to remain flat at 9,236 crore for the quarter. Against this revenue from sales declined 2% to 8,970 crore in the reporting quarter, the company said in a statement Wednesday.
