AMID simmering tension between the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and the BJP, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday created a political flutter by extending an unusual offer to the Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Uddhav Thackeray to join the ruling alliance.
The incident occurred in the Legislative Council when Fadnavis, Shinde, and Uddhav Thackeray were engaged in an exchange of words in the House on the occasion of the end of the term of Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC and LoP in the council, Ambadas Danave.
Thackeray praised Danave, saying he has worked hard and earned a good name for himself as well as the party. He said that Danave will come back to power again, but without having to change his party.
