Eye donation awareness among public stressed

SUPERINTENDENT of Government Regional Eye Hospital and District Blindness Control Society Programme Manager, Dr V Meenakshi, has stressed the importance of eye donation, noting that one pair of donated eyes can restore vision to two people.
Speaking at a programme held as part of the 40th National Eye Donation Fortnight, observed from August 25 to September 8, Dr Meenakshi said lakhs of people in the country suffer from visual impairment, and more public awareness is needed on eye
