'BJP digging own grave by rushing SIR'
WEST Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said the BJP, not her party TMC, introduced the contentious Waqf Amendment Act and asserted that her government will not allow anyone to touch properties.
"We won't follow the Act and have opposed it in the assembly. The state government has filed a case in the Supreme Court. The case is still on and I won't allow anybody to touch the waqf properties," Banerjee said while addressing a party rally at Gazole in Malda district, a minority-dominated belt.
