SC says lottery distributors not liable to pay service tax

LOTTERY distributors are not liable to pay service tax to the Central government, the Supreme Court said on Tuesday while dismissing an appeal of the Union on the issue.
A two-judge bench of Justices BV Nagarathna and N Kotiswar Singh disagreed with the Centre's appeal against the Sikkim HC judgement.
