Welfare aid worth ₹20L given to 12 beneficiaries, cert of appreciation presented to 219 individuals
COLLECTOR V R Subbulaxmi hoisted the National Flag and received the police guard of honour at Netaji Grounds on Independence Day, August 15. To mark peace, white pigeons were released, and freedom fighters and their families in Vellore district were honoured with shawls.
Later, welfare assistance worth ₹20,68,981 was distributed to 12 beneficiaries on behalf of various departments, and certificates of appreciation were presented to 219 individuals for outstanding government service. Cultural performances by students from six schools were also held.
