'Feminist' Rabri takes 'bhaang' potshots at Nitish in Assembly

|March 13, 2025
ALLEGATIONS and counter-allegations flew thick and fast in the Bihar legislative council on Wednesday, as CM Nitish Kumar and his predecessor, Rabri Devi, who is also the Leader of the Opposition, exchanged heated words over developmental works undertaken during their respective regimes.
Intensifying her attack on Nitish, RJD leader Rabri Devi accused him of consuming 'bhaang' (a kind of intoxicant) and disrespecting women under its influence in the House.
"He should see the kind of developmental works the state witnessed when the RJD was in power. Sadly, Nitish speaks the same language as the people around him. He does what his party leaders, JD(U) and BJP, ask him to do." Later, the RJD members staged a walkout of the House and raised slogans against the CM for "disrespecting" women.
