Murmu calls for greater participation of women in UN peacekeeping missions

PRESIDENT Droupadi Murmu on Monday called for increasing participation of women in UN peacekeeping missions, underscoring that they are better equipped to address gender-based violence, foster trust, and promote dialogue.

Addressing a group of women peacekeepers who called on the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan, she said the presence of women in a peacekeeping mission makes it more diverse and inclusive.
