19 Dead as Youths Clash With Police
Nepal plunged into chaos on Monday as violent clashes between security forces and young protesters over a sweeping social media ban and deep-rooted corruption left 19 dead and over 400 injured in Kathmandu and other major cities, marking one of the country's deadliest civilian unrest in recent times.
What began as student-led demonstrations quickly spiralled into deadly confrontations, with riot police firing tear gas, rubber bullets, and water cannons at crowds attempting to storm the national Parliament in Kathmandu.
