Smart kiosks at RKV Lane all set for design change

Touted as a first-of-its-kind structure, it is to undergo the change owing to less users

THE much-hyped smart vending zone project at RKV Lane near the Museum police station -- once touted as a first-of-its-kind effort in the city -- has come unstuck. The structures built for the purpose are set to be demolished with the vendors refusing to occupy the shops. Vattiyoorkavu MLA V K Prasanth is gearing up to give a formal letter to Thiruvananthapuram corporation and Smart City Thiruvananthapuram Ltd (SCTL) demanding the demolition of a row of shops built under the Rs 3-crore project and a complete redesign of the vending zone.
