Airports put on high alert over terror attacks

THE Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), a regulatory agency attached to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has issued a set of three advisories calling for enhanced security at airports, flights and even flying training schools.
THE Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended a senior official of Akasa Air for six months for violating rules during a pilot skill test. The airline had voluntarily reported the incident involving a Detailed Examiner (DE) to the regulator following internal review sessions, said a source.
