US exempts agri products from import tariffs

US President Donald Trump on Friday announced to remove US tariffs on several commodities like beef, coffee, tropical fruits and others.
The move comes after growing backlash over higher consumer prices as it was affecting the everyday household expenses.
"President Trump's proclamation to reduce tariffs on a substantial volume of food imports is a critical step ensuring continued adequate supply at prices consumers can afford," US Food Industry Association said in a statement.
