Adds the Davanagere convention of five heads has given a new direction to community
"No one can stop us if we Veerashaiva-Lingayats unite and the Davanagere convention (Shrunga Sammelan) of five heads of the community has given a new direction in which we have to move ahead," said former CM Basavaraj Bommai here on Tuesday.
Addressing the public after taking part in the convention of Veerashaiva Peethacharyas and Shivacharyas in the city, he said, "We are passing through difficult times. We have a great history and culture, we just have to move ahead. Our thoughts are within the framework of religion, justice and ethics."
