Udupi MLA meets Byrathi, demands more manpower for UUDA

UDUPI MLA Yashpal Suvarna demanded Urban Development and Town Planning Minister Byrathi Suresh to sanction required manpower at the Udupi Urban Development Authority (UUDA).
The MLA called on the minister during the ongoing winter session of the state legislature in Belagavi and appealed for the approval of additional staff to address the manpower shortage issue at the UUDA.
He also requested funding for various basic infrastructure development projects in Udupi city.
He stated that the acute shortage of officers and staff at the UUDA resulted in a backlog of over 1,000 files, some pending approval for several months. With more than 250 applications received monthly for land conversion, layout design approvals, and technical opinions for house construction, citizens have been facing delays and hardships.
