THE link road connecting the bypass on the city outskirts near Deepa Nursing Home has been severely damaged due to recent rain. The stretch is riddled with potholes and waterlogged, forming large, pond-like puddles.
Motorists and commuters are hesitant to use the road, especially at night, as the poor visibility makes it difficult to judge the road surface and spot potholes.
This link road was developed during the tenure of Rajendra Kumar Kataria as Deputy Commissioner, with the aim of easing traffic congestion on KM Road—from the Housing Board area to Chikkamagaluru city in the north—and on Belur Road connecting the city to Hiremagaluru in the south.
