NAKSHA PROG WILL HELP SOLVE LAND-RELATED DISPUTES

MP Kota Srinivasa Poojary said that the National Geospatial Knowledge-based Land Survey of Urban Habitations (NAKSHA) programme will help in knowing real ownership details of all properties in the city municipality limits by using modern technology-based survey, besides preventing illegal land acquisitions by means of digitalised land survey.
Inaugurating the NAKSHA programme here at the city municipal office auditorium on Wednesday, he said on an experimental basis, 10 cities in the state were selected under the project and Chikkamagaluru city is also included and it will benefit citizens in easing the process of availing loans from banks and other financial institutions. The programme aims to create and update land records in urban areas to ensure accurate and reliable documentation of land ownership.
