MLC Balkhees Banu said that Lord Krishna is an embodiment of love and trust, and she urged the Golla community, which shares Krishna's compassionate nature, to develop and join the mainstream of society.

Banu was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Sri Krishna Jayanti programme organised jointly by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, City Corporation, Department of Kannada and Culture, and the District Golla (Yadava) Association at Kuvempu Rangamandira here on Saturday.

"Lord Krishna, the second incarnation of Vishnu, had a personality defined by love and a desire to mingle with everyone," Banu said. "This quality is deeply ingrained in the Golla community, and they are social beings," she said.
