KRRS warns of indefinite strike if work is delayed

THE Chikkamagaluru district unit of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) has warned the MLA and the district administration of indefinite strike, if the Malaluru lift irrigation project, aimed at providing water for fields, is not completed soon.
The idea was to irrigate 1,600 acres of land in Malalur, Kallahalli, Siragapura, Bigganahalli, Tagadureu, Kadrimidri, Kambihalli and Bikkemane villages on the fringes of Malnad and the project remains incomplete, leaving farmers worried, alleged KRRS district unit president D Mahesh.
