THE activists and members of Goraksha Parivar Shivamogga, BJP workers and leaders, along with MP B Y Raghavendra and MLA S N Channabasappa staged a protest in front of DC's Office here on Friday.
They demanded strict punishment for miscreants who cut the udders of cows at Chamarajpet in Bengaluru and placed various other demands regarding protection of cows in the state. They submitted a memorandum to the Governor of State through the DC's Office. They took a protest march from Gopi Circle to DC's Office and shouted slogans against the state government.
MP B Y Raghavendra alleged that due to state government's Muslim appeasement politics, the cows in the state are harmed. The Hindu community will not tolerate this harassment done on the cows. The state government has to stop appeasing Muslims just for the sake of vote bank, he added.
