FARMER and environmental activist Ballur Ravikumar and others tried to block the movement of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah when he was on his way to attend the mass marriage programme conducted as a part of the 95 birthday programme of veteran MLA Dr Shamanur Shivashankarappa in the city on Monday (16/06/25).
The drama took place when Ballur Ravikumar and others of the Davangere Land, Water and Environment Protection Movement Committee Union protested by lying across Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's car, alleging that the police personnel had kicked the farmer leaders who had been waiting at the Circuit House here since morning in the rain to submit a petition to the Chief Minister.
The Union's state convener, farmer leader Ballur Ravikumar and others had been waiting for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at the city's Circuit House since 10:30 am.
