CBSE exam irregularities: 5 OAV teachers suspended

A day after CBSE announced the Class X and XII results of students of six schools in Bargarh district that were pending owing to adoption of unfair practices, the School and Mass Education department on Wednesday initiated disciplinary action against the teachers of Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya (OAV) whose involvement in the irregularities was established.
"In accordance with the zero tolerance policy of the state government against adoption of unfair practices during the examinations, five teachers of OAV-Bandhupali including principal were put under suspension on Wednesday. Besides, show cause notices have been issued to 33 teachers of OAV for initiating disciplinary action against them," the department infor
