A gang of six armed burglars attempted to rob Khazana Jewellery in Chandanagar on National Highway 65 on Tuesday morning, firing at an employee before fleeing with silver ornaments.
The incident occurred around 10.30 am when the gang entered the showroom, threatening staff with weapons. Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty said the robbers shot deputy manager Satish Kumar in the leg after he refused to hand over the locker keys.
