KSHDCL pays ₹6 cr special dividend to state govt

Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited (KSHDCL), a state government enterprise, paid a special dividend of Rs 6 crore to the government, besides paying 3.29 crore towards GST, KSHDCL chairperson Roopa Kala Sashidhar has said.

Speaking to The New Indian Express, Roopa Kala Shashidhar, the two-time Congress MLA from KGF, said in the history of the KSHDCL, such a huge amount of dividend had not been given to the government earlier.

She said more attention will be given to protect traditional arts and crafts and developing major crafts of the state such as sandalwood carvings, rosewood inlay, famous Channapatna lacquerware and toys, Mysore traditional paintings, Bidriware, Kinhal toys, Navalgund durrie, stone carvings, wood carvings, traditional jewellery, mirror and embroidery, banana fiber, terracotta and bronze icons.
