CHENNAI Super Kings generally goes by the tagline fearless entertainers. Living up to it for the first time this season, Sam Curran, with his pyrotechnics, brought cheers to the fans in the stands as well as his teammates in the dugout with a brilliant 88 off just 47 balls (9x4; 4x6).
Curran's breezy effort and a strokeful 32 by Dewald Brevis helped struggling Chennai to post 190 in 19.2 overs against Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League at Chepauk here on Wednesday.
This was CSK's highest total at home this season. The home team looked well poised to cross 200 too but once again, a flurry of wickets towards the end of the innings restricted them to below that psychological mark.
