Service Rd Widening Inevitable as VUP Project Can Cause Congestion

As the NHAI project of Vehicular Underpass (VUP) with double vent openings at Ambalpady Junction has commenced last month and has been moving at a good pace, concerns are now mounting over the potential traffic congestion that it can give rise to once the project is completed.
Contractor- M/s Karla Construction has time till May, 2026 to complete the VUP at Ambalpady Junction on NH 66, however if NHAI fails to take any steps for widening the service road on both sides from Karavali Junction to Kinnimulki Junction prior to that, one can anticipate bottlenecks.
