ED Attaches Bank Account of Accused in M'luru Blast Case

Officials of the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Bengaluru, on August 5 attached the bank account of Syed Yasin, one of the accused in the Mangaluru autorickshaw blast case, under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

The outstanding balance in the account was Rs 29,176. The ED officials launched an investigation based on the FIR registered by Kankanady police, who registered a complaint from K Purushottama, an autorickshaw driver, in connection with the explosion that took place on November 19, 2022, in his autorickshaw. Later, it was re-registered as FIR by NIA.
