The much-awaited reconstruction of the Central Market in Mangaluru is progressing at a fast pace, with plans to complete the project by early 2025.
The market, which has been a vital part of the city for decades, was demolished in 2021 during the pandemic to make way for a modern structure with upgraded facilities.
Vendors who previously operated in the old building were temporarily relocated to Baikampady with assurances that they would be accommodated in the new building once it's completed.
