CCTVs to keep eye on litterbugs in Malethirike Hilltop, says MLA

WITH an aim to curb littering and garbage dumping at the Malethirike Hilltop viewpoint in Virajpet, CCTVs will shortly be placed, officials confirmed during the cleanliness drive across the hilltop.
According to several reports, uncontrolled visits to the hill have caused harm to the viewpoint, and now it has become a landslide-prone area during monsoon season. With an aim to create awareness of the need to preserve the pristine nature at the viewpoint, Virajpet MLA AS Ponanna alongside the Virajpet Municipality officials and staff conducted a cleanliness drive.
