PIO fined ₹5K for refusing to give details to petitioner

THE Tamil Nadu Information Commission has imposed a fine of ₹5,000 on the Public Information Officer (PIO) of Andipatti taluk for refusing to provide the details sought by a petitioner.
The commission further ordered the police department to take action against the miscreants who issued life threats to the petitioner.
