Valley Pays For Violence

- PARVEZ SULTAN @New Delhi

The ghastly attack on tourists in Kashmir's Pahalgam has severely impacted the morale and excitement of the tourism industry, especially the tour operators in the Valley. However, they vowed to continue supporting tourism despite the fact that the killing of at least 26 vacationers led to the cancellation of a large number of reservations for hotels and flight bookings.

Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) chairperson Jyoti Mayal said that the incident is a severe blow to the combined efforts being made by the governments and private sector to help the tourism industry in Kashmir.
