CITING changes in Assam's demography reportedly as a result of illegal migration of people, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said the Assamese and the Hindus would become a minority in the state within the next 10 years.
"If you look at the demography of Assam of 1951 and now, it has reached such a stage that the Assamese and the Hindus will become a minority in 10 years. We have to revive a community staring at extinction," he told the media.
