IMD Issues Red Alert for Rain in Konkan, South

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a 'red alert' for extremely heavy rains in the next 24 hours in Central and Southern India along with the Western Ghats.
The alert said there was a risk of flash floods in Maharashtra, South Interior Karnataka, and isolated areas of Chhattisgarh.
